I have worked as an independent coach and facilitator in the area of personal, leadership and career development for the past 10 years. Prior to this I worked in the Energy Industry for 16 years, latterly managing Graduate Selection in Europe for a multinational organisation. The tools and processes I developed were shared as best practice for experienced and MBA hire globally.

I have developed and delivered leadership and career management programmes and experiential skills workshops including team working, networking, presentations, leadership of self and others. I coach globally-based clients who work across the sectors.

Coaching & training style

I am a straightforward and pragmatic coach, I encourage people to think about their careers and how they can enable themselves to manage their future, become the leaders they want to be and perform to the best of their ability. I often work with people who are new to managing/leading people and teams, who have to manage and work with challenging colleagues, who lack confidence and who are time poor and overloaded.

I have worked as an independent executive and career coach for 10 years, following a successful career in HR. In 2016 I competed my MA in Coaching and Mentoring at Oxford Brookes University, including a dissertation on career coaching for women. I have worked for a range of international organisations, specialising in talent management and leadership development. I have developed leaders at an individual and organisational level through coaching/mentoring and by designing Executive Development Programmes.

Prior to becoming a coach, I was Head of Talent Management for Telefonica O2, focusing on the development of the Top 100 executives. My previous role as HR Director and OD Consultant at American Express focused on global change programmes in IT. Earlier in my  career I provided HR support in a variety of sectors, including insurance, financial services, IT and retail.

Coaching style

Underpinning all of my work is a passion for learning and a desire to motivate others to be more effective and fulfilled in their work and lives. Clients describe me as down-to-earth and realistic. I provide a safe space to explore barriers to goal achievement and a supportive, but challenging conversation to take practical next steps. My corporate background enables me to relate to the pressures on leaders and to offer an objective, informed view.
